Tanya Kukucka draws on deep worlds of the unconscious and the fantastic. Memories of childhood remedies of sweets, entomological distractions, loss and solace in nature are just a few of the subjects touched in her recent paintings.
Her work is cathartic, as she believes that she is purging her soul as she creates, which becomes a cleansing and healing process.
