Course Description
Explore the unique and meditative process of “painting” with wool fibers as you create a luminous koi pond scene. Using soft, colored wool instead of traditional paint, you will layer, blend, and shape fibers to build water, movement, light, and the graceful forms of koi fish gliding beneath the surface. This workshop introduces the fundamentals of wool painting techniques, including layering for depth, color blending, and creating texture to suggest reflections, ripples, and aquatic plants. You’ll be guided step-by-step through composing your image, while also having space to experiment and develop your own interpretation of the pond environment. No prior experience is necessary. All materials will be provided, and participants will leave with a finished wool painting that captures the quiet beauty and fluidity of a koi pond.
