Course Description
Discover the art of frame loom weaving in this beginner-friendly workshop. In a relaxed and welcoming environment, you'll learn the fundamentals of frame loom weaving – from setting up your loom and choosing yarns to mastering basic weaving techniques like plain/tabby weave, rya knots, rya loops and soumak weave. Together, we'll explore texture, color, and pattern, and you'll leave with your own small woven wall hanging, perfect for your home or as a handmade gift. No experience is necessary. Just bring your creativity and curiosity! All materials, including looms, yarns, and tools, will be provided. By the end of the workshop, you'll not only have a beautiful finished piece but also the skills and confidence to continue weaving on your own. Looms are available to purchase at the end of the workshop if you wish to continue on your weaving journey.
Come unwind, play with fibers, and tap into the meditative rhythm of weaving! All materials will be provided and no prior experience is necessary.
