Course Description
Discover the refined and delicate technique of silverpoint drawing, one of the oldest and most precise drawing methods in art history. In this course, students will learn how to work with metalpoint tools on prepared surfaces to create fine, luminous lines that develop slowly and permanently over time. Emphasis will be placed on careful observation, line quality, and tonal development through layering and cross-hatching. Through demonstrations and guided exercises, participants will explore both traditional and contemporary approaches to the medium while developing patience, precision, and sensitivity in their drawing practice. This course is suitable for beginners as well as experienced artists interested in expanding their drawing techniques. All materials will be provided.
