The Essentials of Color

Course Description

This dynamic workshop introduces the fundamental principles of color and how they shape strong, expressive artwork. Students will explore color theory in practice, including hue, value, temperature, and saturation, while learning how to mix and control color effectively in their chosen medium. Through guided exercises and hands-on experimentation, participants will develop confidence in building harmonious palettes, understanding contrast, and using color to create mood, depth, and visual impact. Working with a variety of subjects and prompts, this course encourages both technical understanding and creative exploration. All levels are welcome. All materials will be provided.
