The Art of Pastel: Still Life

Course Description

Explore the beauty of still life through the rich and expressive medium of pastel. Students will learn how to observe and capture color, light, form, and texture while working from a variety of still life arrangements. Demonstrations and guided instruction will introduce techniques for blending, layering, creating texture, and building depth. Whether you are new to pastels or looking to strengthen your skills, this class offers an opportunity to experiment with color and develop your own approach to still life. All skill levels are welcome. Paper will be provided for the first session. Instructor will go over paper options students should bring to the next class. All other materials will be provided.
