Still Life: Color & Composition

Course Description

Discover the art of observing and translating everyday objects into compelling works of art. In this class, students will explore the fundamentals of still life painting, including composition, proportion, color mixing, light, and shadow. Working from carefully arranged objects, you’ll learn how to build form, create depth, and develop a personal approach to painting. Demonstrations and individualized guidance will support artists at all levels, from beginners to more experienced painters looking to refine their skills. Students can work in the media of their choice, drawing materials, oils, acrylics, oil sticks, watercolor pencils and pastels. Please refer to website for supply list.
