Course Description
Create one-of-a-kind ceramic planters and matching saucers that bring character and creativity to your favorite plants. In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore basic handbuilding techniques to design and construct functional pots perfect for succulents, herbs, cacti, or small houseplants. Learn how to shape clay using slabs and simple forming methods while adding texture, pattern, carving, and decorative details that reflect your personal style. Participants will also explore surface design and glazing options to give each piece a finished look that is both beautiful and functional. Whether you prefer modern, whimsical, rustic, or organic designs, this workshop encourages experimentation and creative expression. Finished pieces will be kiln-fired and glazed, resulting in durable ceramic planters ready to brighten your home, studio, or garden. This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with previous ceramic experience. All materials and firings are included.
