Course Description

Explore the beauty and challenge of capturing water through both drawing and painting in this inspiring workshop. Learn techniques for depicting the movement, transparency, and reflective qualities of ponds, streams, and still water surfaces. Through demonstrations and guided exercises, students will explore how to create the illusion of ripples, reflections, light, and depth using drawing and painting materials. Working from observation and photographic references, participants will experiment with line, value, and color while creating expressive works inspired by the natural world. All levels are welcome.
