Course Description

Let go of perfection and discover the joy of painting with a looser, more expressive approach to watercolor. In this course, students will learn to let the paint move, blend, and flow while creating paintings filled with light, atmosphere, and energy. Through demonstrations and guided exercises, explore transparent washes, unexpected color combinations, wet-on-wet techniques, expressive brushwork, and the beauty of letting the watercolor do some of the work. Students will learn how to simplify subjects, suggest rather than define details, and create paintings that feel fresh and spontaneous. Perfect for artists who have some watercolor experience and are ready to loosen up, experiment, and develop a more personal painting style. All materials will be provided.
