Course Description
Curious about the rich, luminous qualities of encaustic painting? This introductory workshop provides a comprehensive overview of this ancient medium, which combines heated beeswax and pigment to create paintings with remarkable depth and texture. Participants will learn about essential tools, foundational techniques, and important safety practices while working with encaustic materials. Instructor-led demonstrations will introduce a variety of methods, followed by hands-on exploration, allowing participants to experiment with the medium’s unique possibilities and create their own work. All materials are provided. No prior experience is necessary.
