Explore the playful and expressive world of monotype printing! In this hands-on course, you’ll experiment with color, texture, shape, and mark-making to create one-of-a-kind prints. Unlike traditional printmaking, each monotype is unique, making this a wonderfully spontaneous process where happy accidents are part of the fun. Learn a variety of techniques for creating and transferring images, from painterly applications and layered textures to stencils, found objects, and experimental mark-making. No two prints will be alike, and each impression offers a new opportunity to play, experiment, and discover. Whether you’re new to printmaking or looking to expand your creative practice, this course encourages you to let go of perfection and see where the process takes you. Come ready to experiment, make a mess, and create a collection of original prints! All materials are provided. No prior printmaking experience is necessary.
