Course Description

Discover the exciting and spontaneous art of monotype printmaking—no printing press required! In this beginner-friendly mini course, students will learn how to create unique, one-of-a-kind prints using simple tools and hand-printing techniques. Explore drawing, painting, and mark-making directly onto printing plates, then transfer your images onto paper through a variety of accessible methods. Participants will experiment with layering, texture, color, and composition while gaining an understanding of the monotype process and its creative possibilities. The workshop encourages exploration and play, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced artists looking to expand their artistic practice. All materials are provided. No prior printmaking experience is necessary.
