Course Description
Build a strong foundation in botanical illustration through careful observation and essential drawing skills. In this course, students will learn to render simple plant forms using line, value, and shape while exploring composition, tonal studies, and color. A brief introduction to plant structure and key botanical features will support more accurate and expressive drawings. With one project each week and optional at-home assignments, the class is designed to move at your own pace, allowing you to explore each subject as deeply as you choose. By the end of the series, you’ll have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of botanical illustration. Please refer to the supply list on the website.
