Course Description
Zines are small books made quickly and cheaply and are often used to share poetry, art, activism, practical info, journalism and more. In this hands-on workshop, students will learn how to make multiple zine structures including small books that can be made out of one sheet of paper as well as a sewn pamphlet binding. We will also go over analog and digital methods for adding content to your zines. Basic art materials will be available and at the end of class students can make a few copies of their zines to share. All materials will be provided. Optional: Students can bring any images, text, or art materials they would like to work with in addition to what is provided.
