Red, Violet, Blue is a painting of three cellophane wrapped hard candies lit from the left. It is painted in oil paint directly from life. I was attracted to the color transmitted through the colored cellophane and the reflections and highlights on the glossy wrappers. It is one of a series of paintings of candy I've done over the last five years.
