Brush Painting Workshops
Learn Asian Brush Painting with the Oriental Brush Artists Guild
The Oriental Brush Artists Guild meets at the Hammond Museum on the third Tuesday of the month in fall and spring and offers an opportunity for hands-on learning of Asian brush painting with some of the finest masters of brush painting in the tri-state area. Below are dates and information about this fall’s workshops.
Newcomers are invited to experience a first demo and workshop free of charge. Please see orientalbrushartistsguild.org for more information.
Fees per class:
$35. Members of Hammond Museum
$45. Non members.
Please note that RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED.
All workshops are for beginners and advanced students.
Demonstrations at 11:30 am are free to the public.

Master of the colorful southern Chinese style of painting known as Ling-nan, Zhi Fang Liao is an award-winning artist listed in Who’s Who in American Art. Watching him paint is magical, and it is a privilege to learn from him.

Dedicated to the traditional artistic techniques of ancient China, and known as an excellent teacher, Ms. Giguere is a patient and encouraging instructor. Her work is a delight to anyone who enjoys experiencing nature’s serenity through the study of this unique and ancient art form.

Adept at both the detailed and spontaneous styles of Chinese painting, Ms. Chan’s subject matter ranges from flowers and birds to figures and landscapes. She is an excellent and inspiring teacher.
