The Hammond Needs Your Help

The Hammond Museum and Japanese Stroll Garden is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that needs your financial support to keep its doors open.

Established in 1957 by Natalie Hammond, The Hammond is located on 7.5 beautiful acres in the Town of North Salem, in Westchester County, New York. It is a unique institution that has a vision to be a destination that connects our visitors to an inclusive world community through art and nature.

Your active participation, membership and financial support will help maintain our facility and grounds and enable us to continue our important mission: to provide access to peace and mindfulness for all through our tranquil Japanese style gardens and innovative arts and education programs.

We have put together an ambitious plan to enhance the Hammond’s facilities, gardens and cultural activities. It’s a long to-do list and we need your help to get it all done.

we need your help to get it all done

Here’s what your dollars will help us do:

  • $10,000 will help us make real headway in our pond revitalization project, which will update water engineering, hardscape, and plantings and beautify the focal point of the Hammond’s garden

  • $5000 will support general garden maintenance for 3 months

  • $2500 will help us keep the lights on and the facility running through the winter months

  • $1000 will cover our overhead expenses for an exhibition and accompanying educational workshop

  • $500 will support an artist fee for live music at an upcoming event

  • $250 will hire an artist to teach a youth workshop

  • $100 will purchase new plants to enhance the health and appearance of our front entrance
