Course Description
Learn to make a two-hoop basket using vines to construct the bones of the basket and using vines, cattail, recycled fabric, and yarn as the weavers. This is a two-day course. Day one will be mostly learning about the materials and construction of the bones of the basket while day two will be weaving day. Please bring in old fabric that can be cut up and recycled to be woven into your basket. Good examples of fabric to cut up include old bedsheets and old t-shirts. I will also provide recycled fabric and yarn. No prior experience necessary, only a love for nature and a joy for playing, creating, learning and experimenting. There is a $65 materials fee paid to the instructor the first day of the workshop. Please bring lunch!
