The Language of Color

Course Description

This course explores color as a powerful visual language. Students will learn to understand, analyze, and interpret color through both theory and practice. Emphasis is placed on color relationships, harmony, contrast, and emotional impact. Through hands-on exploration, experimentation, and guided projects, students will develop the ability to use color intentionally to strengthen composition, depth, and expression, ultimately enhancing their artwork with confidence and clarity. Students should bring a mixed media pad of paper (9x12 or 11x14). All other materials will be provided.
