Painting Animals in Watercolor

Course Description

This class is open to beginners as well as those with some watercolor experience. We will focus on the fundamentals of watercolor painting while also supporting students who wish to refresh or strengthen their skills. Each class will include step-by-step instruction, demonstrations, and guided practice. Using animals as our primary subject matter, students will learn to observe form, gesture, texture, and character while developing their own personal interpretation of each subject. We will explore color mixing, drawing for watercolor, essential painting techniques, and relevant artistic references throughout the course. Please refer to the supply list on the website.
