Introduction to Drawing

Course Description

This course provides a thorough introduction to the fundamentals of drawing. Students will study the elements of drawing including value, texture, line, contrast and form. Emphasis is placed on developing perceptual skills and the ability to translate what is observed onto the page. All aspects of tonal and line drawing will be explained using charcoal, pencil. Class will be still life and landscape based. Attention and feedback will be given to each student. Please see link below for a supply list.
