Basic Painting

Course Description

In this course, students will explore three distinct subjects to learn the techniques and processes needed to paint effectively and create a variety of visual effects. The instructor will demonstrate key concepts such as color, light, and composition throughout the class. Students may work in the medium of their choice, including oils, acrylics, oil sticks, watercolor pencils, or pastels. Subjects covered may include landscape, still life, and portraiture.
