When I walked along the edge of my pond I could hear them but they were in the water before I could see them.

Quicker than I could photograph these frogs, I used my "Wild and Wonderful" book by Nina Mortellito and Cynthia R. Stebbins of the New York Zoological Society for reference. Watercolor was the perfect medium to paint the frog.
