“Like facets on a gemstone, these faces of beauty join people and objects to reflect on the rich culture, charm, and skills of these wonderful people,” says Dustan Osborn, former board chair of the Hammond Museum, of his inspirations. These images, informed by the keen senses of compassion and observation created by Dr. Osborn’s career as a medical doctor and oncologist, reveal people in their daily activities: weavers, paper makers, peanut roasters, noodle boilers, gold beaters, monks, fishermen, and children.
