About the Event
Come to the Hammond Museum during your Spring Recess to have fun and learn some new things, as we, together with Chris Evers of Animal Embassy, look for and welcome the lively signs of Spring! While some of our local animal friends flew far away for the winter, others have slept or managed with the cold. Let’s greet them as they wake up and return! Meet up-close some of our furry and feathered friends, including a Flemish Giant Rabbit, Prairie Dogs, Barred Rock Chicken, Homing Pigeon, and more. Chris will then take us for a walk around the Hammond property to look for our wild neighbors just back from their travels or waking from a long winter’s slumber. Back in the museum, we will warm up with a tasty snack and then get ready for the awakening of plants in spring by making “Pollinator Pots.” We will wrap up this…
