During the winter of 2018, I was commissioned by the Chair of the Department of History at Vassar College - Maria Hoehn, to write a poem to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. After watching a news segment a few days before the event, 3 lines spoke to me: "Build a wall. Lock them up. Kill them." I asked myself "What Would Martin Say?" and the poem was born. The video was Produced and Directed by Frank Matheis at Prime Media Westchester.
