Saturday, November 13th, 1:00-4:00 PM
The Hammond Museum Tea Club (Ryu Sui Kai) will host a special Tea Ceremony demonstration on Saturday, November 13, 2021 in the Main Hall, led by Yasuko Hara, Tea Master, with an introduction by Zensho Martin Hara and commentary by Michael McKenna.
Afterwards, select attendees will be invited to sample tea and sweets as part of the Tea Ceremony experience. This Tea and Wagashi Tasting will only be open to the first 10 guests who sign up as Hammond Museum Tea Club Members.
The Hammond Museum will also conduct special tours of the Japanese Stroll Garden led by Dr. Lara Netting, PhD, who will share about the new garden activities planned for 2022.
Music by Chicks Candy Store will be performed on the Hammond’s patio for your afternoon entertainment in the Garden. Refreshments and light snacks will be served to complement the friendly and peaceful Autumn Tea Ceremony Gathering.
Admission is FREE, but your generous donations are especially welcomed. Your advanced registration (RSVP) online will help us accommodate your best seating arrangements.
We ask that you wear a mask while in the Main Hall, as a courtesy to all who gather for the celebration.
