I took this photograph several years ago while shopping for a prom dress with my daughters, and reinvented it as I often do to create something new. The picture celebrates the feeling of joy and rejuvenation, depicted through the girl’s uninhibited dancing. There are so many quick moments in our lives that often pass by so fast, like the quiet or energetic moments we often feel in spring. Prom, like spring, is a renewal, a right of passage, has the feeling and anticipation of something new. This photograph is part of a series of pictures that contain movement and evaporation.
