Each artist has his own distinct approach to the material that takes origami beyond its traditional craft roots. Both artists work in the technique of intricate tessellation--experiments in paper origami that break free of the expected imagery.

 

In small and large scale works, these precise, intricate and complex patterns grow into textures that reference imbedded objects.
