Creativity is a road to your imagination, and your imagination is the place of all possibility

In this interactive speaker series, art therapists from around the globe will discuss why art-making is essential in their lives through their own art-making journeys. They will share ideas about how everyone can access and embrace their creative process to illuminate their own path.

This ongoing series is presented by Barbara Fish, Ph.D., HLM, ATR-BC, ATCS, artist, art therapist, author, and educator, and Elizabeth Bryan-Jacobs, artist, author, and emerging art therapist.

The first event on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, will be an interview with Barbara and will be called,

"Flying with Our Imaginations."

Barbara is the 2019 recipient of the American Art Therapy Association’s Honorary Lifetime Membership Award. Her interests include disseminating that power of response and the value of arts-based research. She is the founder of the Art for Peace group, and author of Art-Based Supervision: Cultivating Therapeutic Insight Through Imagery (Routledge, 2017). She has practiced and taught art therapy for more than thirty years and presents her work internationally.

Elizabeth is the founder of the Spread Your Wings Project, a non-profit devoted to sharing the healing powers of the arts. She established Creative Awakenings, a creativity retreat program that has been shared nationally, and is the author of “Chicken Soup for the Soul: Count Your Blessings” and Soul Models: Transformative Stories of Courage and Compassion.” Her artwork resides in numerous private and public collections.
