Course Description
This hands-on workshop introduces young teens to the dynamic process of wheel throwing in clay. Students will learn the fundamentals of working on the pottery wheel, including centering clay and forming basic shapes. Through guided instruction and individualized attention, participants will develop both technical skills and confidence while exploring their own creative expression. All materials, tools, and firings are included, and no prior experience is necessary. Due to the ceramic firing process, completed pieces require approximately four to five weeks before they are ready for pickup. The school will notify students when their work is available. Please wear clothing suitable for working with clay, and long hair should be tied back for safety and comfort.
