Course Description
We will spend the mornings in the beautiful, well lighted classrooms learning to observe plants carefully, how to draw and add dimension to form. The afternoons will be spent outdoors using plants in the garden to apply the morning’s class. Students will learn how to look at a plant and render it in graphite pencil with 3-dimensional accuracy, use a pencil to achieve a variety of tonal values and achieve 3-dimensional form traditional botanical upper left lighting on a sphere, cylinder, disc and concave forms. Beginner through advanced welcome.
