Nazanin Hedayat Munroe Ph.D.

 

Nazanin Hedayat Munroe is Director of Textiles and Assistant Professor in Business & Technology of Fashion at CUNY – NYC College of Technology. She received her Ph.D. in Art History from University of Bern, Switzerland specializing in silks from the early modern Persianate World. An NEA grant recipient, Munroe holds an M.F.A. in Textiles from Cranbrook Academy of Art and has exhibited at major museums, including the de Young Museum and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, as well as curating exhibitions of contemporary art. Dr. Munroe teaches textile design, sustainability, smart textiles/CAD, and fashion history in New York.
