In 1988 I was suffering from Epstein-Barr Virus. It was Feb. 14th, Valentines day, freezing cold and snowing. The doorbell rang. I opened the door and there was a delivery man handing me a vase of a dozen gorgeous red roses. I read the attached card. It was from my 2 sons who were attending Cornell University. I started to cry from happiness! What an inspiration for a painting!
