The soothing palette of blue, green and magenta jewel tones belie an undercurrent of emotion, En Sanidad is a play on translation. The use of acrylic in all pieces normalizes the medium for consistent visual representation. In each painting are multiple layers, brushstrokes and varied techniques which lend all pieces a multidimensional, tactile quality of arrested movement.
