To our Hammond Museum and Japanese Stroll Garden Artist Members
We are very grateful to all of you for your participation and enthusiasm this year, as we worked to revive the Hammond after the Covid shut down. Your artworks and energy carried us through and helped reconnect us with old and new members....and for this we are very grateful.
This year, we have a new idea in mind......building on the idea that art not only enhances our lives and humanity but plays a huge role in the difference between living and merely surviving, we would like to create a venue whereby more people can bring art into their lives. Also, we would like to give thanks and support to our Artist Members.
After the closure of our current exhibitions on October 30th, we invite you to display and offer for sale your artworks in the Hammond's main gallery just in time for holiday shopping. We will open this Art Fair on Friday, November 12th. The Hammond will remain open to the public on Saturday, November 13th and Sunday, November 14th.
While you would be warmly and eagerly welcome to help tend the sales desk during this period, the Hammond will handle the sales, collecting sales tax, and packing for anyone taking their purchases away immediately. In exchange, the Hammond will take a reduced 10% sales commission, as our additional thank you to all of you.
If you are interested to participate in this project, please send what you propose to sell and display/space needs. We have wall, table and floor space available. In addition to one-of-a-kind artworks, we also encourage prints and other multiples that are affordable for a wide public. Books, CDs both for adults and children, are also enthusiastically welcome.
We hope you will join us in this venture! Art for the holidays!
