Maureen Burns-Bowie
Maureen Burns-Bowie is a ceramic artist who uses organic imagery and expressions of life cycles as metaphors for growth and transformation. The art is created to convey a sense of the preciousness of life, our one-ness with nature and each other, and the power and dignity of the human spirit. It celebrates the transcendent beauty of the natural world. She has studied with masters throughout the US, and has exhibited extensively nationally and internationally. Burns-Bowie is Director of the UN Program of the International Caucus of Women’s Caucus for Art and a Representative to the United Nations. In this capacity, she educates artists about critical human rights and environmental issues, and creates exhibition and panel presentation opportunities. She is listed in Marquis Who's Who in America and Who’s Who in the World. Her current home and studio are in the Hudson Valley of New York
