The painting is a comment on how much life can change in a week or short period of time. The painting started as a very serious and grey painting, due to a changing inspiration, changed entirely in its mood. In both a positive and difficult way life can change in a moment. It brings to mind Joan Didian's book, A Year of Magical Thinking, about the loss of her husband in the first few lines, she describes how one moment he was alive and the next moment he was no longer there. It also brings to mind the sudden Pandemic of this past year.
