Mid Autumn
Festival
Saturday, October 2nd, 1:00-3:00PM
  Mid Autumn Festival - In Conjunction with Families with Children from China
Bring your child for an afternoon of fun activities focused on learning more about Chinese Culture

Children will decorate paper lanterns and taste Chinese snacks.

The Tang Yun Dancers will be performing a program of five Han, Tibetan and Xin Jiang Chinese folk dances and one classical Chinese dance.

  1. A Handkerchief Game - a Han Chinese folk dance performed by Lily Blanton, Gisella Castagna
    and Angelina Stofka (2 minutes)
  2. Chili Peppers - a Han Chinese folk dance performed by Lia Chen, Samantha McLemore, Vivian Wen
    and Valerie Zhang (4 minutes)
  3. Hui an Girl - a Han Chinese folk dance performed Caitlyn Brandon and Sophia Gaine (4 minutes)
    Singing Snow Mountain - a Tibetan folk dance performed by Lily Blanton, Gisella Castagna and
    Angelina Stofka (2 minutes)
  4. Birds in A Rose Garden - a Xin Jiang folk dance performed by Lia Chen, Samantha McLemore, Vivian Wen
    and Valerie Zhang (5 minutes)
  5. Angels Descending from Heaven - a classical Chinese dance performed by Caitlyn Brandon and
    Sophia Gaine (3 minutes)

Museum Members: $15 for family up to 4, $5 each additional
Non Members: $20 for family up to 4, $5 each additional
