Culture Day
Fun for the family at Hammond Museum’s Chinese Culture Day
Melody of Dragon is an ensemble playing traditional instruments from China, led by Chen Tao, a world-class master of the Chinese bamboo flute(dizi). Chinese music is inspired by nature with depictions of animals, rivers, gardens and traditions and celebrations of daily life. Melody of Dragon’s music will offer a glimpse of China and the soul of its people through their music. Children will be able to try an instrument after the performance.
There will also be folk crafts of Chinese paper cutting
by Lu Mingliang and calligraphy by Guan Zhiyuan for everyone’s participation.
Admission: $5. Adults; $4. Seniors
Free for Museum Members & Children under 12
