Bugs
“Celebrity Bugs” Flora Viale - - sculptures
Flora Viale studied in Italy, Buenos Aries, and SUNY Binghamton.NY. She has a Masters Art History. She invented art in the box, a portable mini museum, and is currently involved with Marte, the Museum of Contemporary and Modern Art in Italy.
“Celebrity Bugs” were born to populate a very old abandoned stable at the foot of the Dolomites.(Mountains in Italy) Through these sculptures, the soul of animals and natural elements are transformed into visual tactile experiences. According to Viale, art and nature are necessary to underline the creativity of our present times, a time when distant origins reach the future.
Her wearable art is featured in the Hammond Museum’s gift shop.
